The Wonders of Imagica

Out of all the enjoyments we have, the fun that we have at amusements parks is at a whole different level. I had never been to an amusement park as big as Imagica, if the question is of theme park, I have been at 2 but Imagica was a whole different thing.

Imagica is a water and theme park located in Khopoli, Raigad district at a feasible distance from Mumbai - Pune Expressway at around 90Km from Pune. To reach there, one has to take an exit before Khalapur Toll towards Khopoli.

As you park your car and come in the front of the gate, a humongous crowd is ready to rush in before you. As it was summer, it was an obvious anticipation that almost half of the crowd was going to the waterpark, which was true indeed. But it doesn't mean that the crowd going to the theme park will be less. After completing all the formalities, you are expected to wait, again in a line, to check in and wait for the park to open.

                                       

There are many rides inside, indoor and outdoor, slow and fast, happy and scary and what not. Imagica houses India's biggest and fastest roller coaster - The Hot Wheels Nitro. It was the first roller coaster ride of my life and that gave me the thrill I never felt. The drops and turns were just amazing. A ride that I would remember for life was - 'DeepSpace', by the name, I thought it should be some slow roller coaster passing through a room where visuals of the space would be shown. But it was a fast roller coaster through a very dark room symbolizing Deep Space. Here you are in the dark and don't know which turn or which twist is next, its just a fast roller coaster going here and there on twisty tracks. I felt deceived at that time.

                                     

Another remarkable attraction was 'I for India' where they take you through various famous places of India. The places are shown on a big screen and it feels as if you yourself are moving with the camera.

Overall Imagica is a wonderful place and has many attractions which cannot be mentioned in a single blogpost. You can get the real experience only by experiencing it physically. I made some unforgettable memories there which will remain with me forever.
